Amazon has launched a new function that utilises artificial intelligence to produce and present summaries of user reviews on product pages. The function seeks to assist shoppers in quickly understanding the general comments and critical aspects regarding products before purchasing.
According to an Amazon post on Monday, the function is presently available to “a subset of mobile shoppers” in the United States for a variety of products, and it may be expanded in the future.

The new feature works through providing a short paragraph highlighting the product characteristics and customer sentiment that are frequently cited in written reviews, as well as pre-generated keywords for specific product traits that buyers may touch on to get further details, such as ease of use.

The overview also discussed customer complaints regarding the product’s quality and charging capabilities.
In accordance with Amazon, AI customer review summaries are based on customer feedback, and the functionality may be expanded to more categories and customers in the coming months.
