Users will be able to get answers “faster than ever before” with the typable Windows search bar and the new AI-powered Bing, the tech giant claimed in a blog post on Tuesday.
According to the firm, the search box is one of the most popular features on Windows, with over 500,000 users per month.
Those in the Bing preview may gain access to this functionality by installing the most recent Windows 11 update, while others can join the new Bing preview waitlist.
The tech behemoth also debuted a new Phone Link for iOS, promising that “you’ll never have to worry about missing that critical call or text while focused on your Windows 11 PC.”

This functionality will first be available as a preview to Windows Insiders.
“For those of you with a Samsung phone, we’ve made it easier to activate your phone’s personal hotspot with a single click from within the Wi-Fi network list on your Laptop,” the firm stated.
Microsoft also stated that users can now rapidly modify background blur, eye contact, and automated framing in their favourite communication tools, with seamless integration into Teams.
“We are happy to announce the extension of Widgets to include Phone Link, Xbox Game Pass, and partners like Meta and Spotify, so staying up to current on the things that important has never been easier,” it said.
You can launch Quick Assist directly from the Start menu to connect faster than ever before, and you can even use the new ability to switch between screen sharing and full control during a session to offer or receive help the way you prefer.
You’ll also like the new laser pointer, which you can use to highlight an icon, menu, or anything else on screen to assist in guiding individuals through the learning process.
Windows 11 is getting a major update that will make things easier, including the addition of the new AI-powered Bing to the taskbar.
