The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max versions include a camera system capable of recording spatial films, making them the first Apple products to have a direct interface to the company’s future Vision Pro headset.
Along with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, Apple Inc. revealed the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max on September 12 during its ‘Wonderlust’ event. Among the significant improvements that these premium models provide is a new camera system capable of shooting spatial films, thereby making them the first Apple devices with a direct link to the company’s future Vision Pro headset.
Furthermore, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are equipped with Apple’s 3nm A17 Pro chip. The Pro models, like the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, have a USB type-C port. The black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and natural titanium finishes will be available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Pro is priced at Rs 134,900 and comes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a price tag at Rs 159,900 and comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities. On September 15, both smartphones will be available for pre-order in 40 countries and regions, including India, with shipping beginning on September 22.
The aerospace-grade titanium frame of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max features a brushed texture and curved edges. These are the first iPhone models that include a configurable Action button, which replaces the single-function switch used to switch between ring and silent modes.
Apple stated that the new configurable Action button will provide users with extra options such as rapidly accessing the camera or torch, triggering voice memos, Focus settings, Translate, and accessibility capabilities such as Magnifier, or using Shortcuts for more possibilities.
Imaging is a key element of the Pro line, and the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max receive significant improvements in this area. Both phones have a 48MP primary camera with sensor-shift OIS. According to Apple, the sensor has been improved to provide 24MP resolution in default settings.
A 12MP telephoto lens is paired with the main camera enabling optical zoom – 3x on the Pro and 5x on the Pro Max. The back camera system is completed by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor that also functions as a macro lens for close-up images.
