Longer Group Subjects and Descriptions are Coming to the Meta-Owned Messaging Platform’s iOS Beta. Longer group subjects and descriptions are apparently being implemented on iOS beta by Meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp.
According to WABetaInfo, this will make it simpler for users to characterize groups more accurately. Beta users can now select a group description that is up to 2048 characters long instead of the prior 512 character restriction.
Group administrators will be able to save more information for characterizing their groups if group descriptions are longer.
Additionally, the group subject’s character limit has been raised to 100 to provide admins more latitude when naming their groups.
After installing the most recent WhatsApp beta for iOS update from the TestFlight app, all users can select a longer group subject and description, according to the report.
The group subjects and descriptions on Android beta were undergoing a similar adjustment, according to a report from last week. According to news reports, the platform is developing a new function that would let users pin messages inside of conversations and groups.
