Meta Platforms Inc. is releasing new generative AI capabilities for all advertisers, building on an earlier test of the features that allow marketers to create graphics and content faster.
Meta’s solutions use artificial intelligence to build product backdrop photos, generate numerous permutations of advertising material, and automatically scale ads to fit on Instagram or Facebook. According to the business, the new functionalities will be offered to advertisers in Meta’s Ads Manager, with global availability expected by next year.
Meta previously permitted a limited number of advertisers to use the tools in the “AI Sandbox,” which debuted in May. Among the first advertising firms to take part in the trial were Publicis Groupe and Media Monks. According to a Meta poll, 50% of advertisers expect the technologies to save them five or more hours each week generating commercials.
Meta has been slowly incorporating AI into its advertising products in order to boost performance and compensate for the loss of targeted data caused by Apple Inc.’s privacy changes. In May, the company also introduced Meta Lattice, which assists businesses in predicting ad performance.
Meta’s efforts to grow its ad revenue appear to be paying off. In the fiscal quarter ending June 30, the company’s digital ad revenue grew 12%, propelling its stock price to an 18-month high. The business also expected a 20% increase in sales in the September quarter, owing to investments in artificial intelligence, revenue from the short-form video product Reels, and ad targeting enhancements.
