Google is expected to unveil its low-cost Pixel 7A smartphone on May 10 in the United States at its annual I/O developer conference. Images of the smartphone were leaked ahead of its release, revealing its design and colour scheme. Here are the specifics:
Pixel 7A Design
In terms of design, the upcoming Pixel 7A appears to be identical to last year’s Pixel 7. One leak shows a metal frame and camera bar on the back, as well as a dual-camera system and LED flash. The phone has a punch-hole camera cutout in the top centre on the front. Both buttons are located on the smartphone’s right side.
The images also show large bezels on all four sides. According to the leaked images, the smartphone will be available in white, grey, and blue colour options.
What can we expect from the Pixel 7A?
The Google Pixel 7A is expected to have a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The smartphone will be powered by the Tensor G2 processor and will most likely have a 64-megapixel primary camera sensor as well as a 12MP ultra-wide camera sensor. The smartphone is expected to come in an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration.
Other features that are expected include an under-screen fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot for storage expansion, dual-SIM support, wireless charging, and a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. The smartphone will most likely boot the Android 13 operating system.
